Since we last checked in, we have continued learning so much
and had fun doing it! We are still practicing our addition and subtraction but
will begin measurement very soon! We have continued to work on persuasive
writing and by the end of this writing unit I think your children will be very persuasive!
We continue to work on blending and segmenting sounds to form words in reading.
In science we have started learning about animals and what the differences
between living and non-living things are! We also have had fun lessons learning
about dental health where we made marshmallow teeth! Yesterday, we had an engineer
from the Kimberly-Clark company come to our class and do a science experiment
that taught us about germs and washing our hands! Everyone really enjoyed it
and had fun being a scientist for the day! I am also so excited for next week
because it is going to be Dr. Suess themed. On Friday which is Dr. Seuss’
birthday we will be having Read All Day where we will be reading and having special
Dr. Suess inspired activities!
